    <directions>
      <step>For the filling:</step>
      <step>Chop chocolate roughly</step>
      <step>Put cream in small saucepan; heat over medium heat</step>
      <step>Add chocolate and cook gently until mostly melted; remove from heat and whisk until smooth</step>
      <step>For the bars:</step>
      <step>Mix sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon</step>
      <step>Using fingers, mix in butter until no small lumps remain</step>
      <step>Add molasses, almond extract, and oats, and mix until combined </step>
      <step>In greased 7" x 11" pan, spread half the batter evenly</step>
      <step>Spread chocolate over batter; crumble remaining batter over chocolate</step>
      <step>Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until streusel topping is slightly browned</step>
      <step>After cooling, cut into bars</step>
